Art Education Technology Methods
syllabus (draft)
This class examines multiple aspects of classroom technology in arts education.
The course combines hands-on computer techniques, critical analysis of digital
art, and practical experience with curriculum design.
- Technology and teachers - hands-on projects using Power Point and PhotoShop
- The Internet and Art Education - online research of art education Web sites
- New Media and Web-artists - critical analysis of digital artistsÕ work
- The final project is curriculum recommendation, rationale, standards addressed,
and lesson plan for an art education project that fully integrates technology.

Week 5: Web artists search

Week 7: Photoshop skills in action
Student teams will create a digital collage of several Web artistsÕ images
using Photoshop

- Outline and slide sorter functions as hypertext and navigation simulation
- Student teams will create a Web art and Web artists educational PowerPoint
